Missouri Legislative Session

State legislators see PROMO in the Capitol every day demonstrating our vigilance, persistence, and expertise. Our goal is to make certain Missouri laws protect and enhance the lives of all LGBTQ+ Missourians. The bill tracker below allows you to stay updated on the pro-equality and anti-LGBTQ+ bills in Missouri our organization is tracking during the legislative session, which begins early January and ends in mid-May of each calendar year.

Thank you for taking action during the previous legislative session. The Missouri General Assembly is adjourned for the year, so there are no active bills currently. Bill filing will begin again in December with the new session starting in January. Please return then to see the list of bills we are monitoring.

Testify with PROMO

The Missouri Legislature has two chambers: The House of Representatives and The Senate. Each of these contains committees of lawmakers separated by topics such as education or small business. Those committees hold public hearings on bills to decide whether to bring them to the full chamber for a vote. Hearings are your opportunity to share your opposition to an anti-LGBTQ+ bill or support of a pro-equality bill by explaining how it impacts you, your family, your business, or your community. If you would like to join PROMO in testifying during the legislative session, please fill out the form below.
